Children & Babies
We welcome families at Greta Hall. Cot, high-chair, steam sterilizer, bottle-warmer, toys etc. are available, just let us know what you need.

Babysitting
We can arrange very responsible and experienced babysitters for you who charge £5 per hour and can provide independent references.
Both Jeronime, Scott and Akasha hold current CRB clearances.

Kitchens
All the kitchens are well equiped with a full range of saucepans, baking equipment, blender, toaster, microwave/combination microwave, oven to table bakeware, Churchill china and good quality stainless steel cutlery.
If you need anything else for your stay, we're happy to lend items from our own kitchen.

Laundry
All laundry (towels, bath mats, bed linen, tea towels, cleaning cloths) is included in the hire tariff.
Double duvets are goose down/feather.
Pillows are either duck feather or goose down/feather.
All single duvets are synthetic.
All double beds have 100% pure white Egyptian cotton bed linen while for single beds (and all short break bookings) we use 80/20 cotton/poly mix bed linen.

Coloured swim towels, dog towels and water-proof undersheets are available on request.

Firewood for Open Fires and Woodburning Stoves
You'll find the fire set (winter & summer) and a supply of logs.
Logs are available at a cost of £3 per basket and coal is available at £4 a skuttle.

Bikes, Boats & Buses
Explore the area around Greta Hall by bike or boat. We have lockable bike storage and there is plenty of space to store sailing boats, canoes etc.

If you would like to hire bikes we would recommend booking in advance during school holidays. We would recommend Kewick Mountain Bikes.

If you would like to either hire a sailing boat, rowing boats, kayaks or canoes we would recommend Nichol End Marine in Portinscale. If you bring a roof rack we have our own Canadian canoes, kayaks & life jackets which we are happy to lend to guests.

We also offer discounted tickets for the Keswick Launch.

Please consider leaving your car either at home or parked and enjoy using the public transport system around Keswick and the surrounding area. Here's the Stage Coach website to help you plan your holiday.

Parking
We restrict the numbers of cars at Greta Hall to ensure the safety of family, guests & free range animals and to maintain the aesthetic quality of this beautiful Grade 1* listed building. Please see Terms & Conditions for details.

Guests who choose to have a public transport holiday will receive an additional discount when booking.

What to do while you are here
We are really happy to help with walk suggestions, buses, attractions, tea shops etc. Jeronime recently helped to produce 'Kids Keswick' - 50 things to do with children in Keswick & the surrounding area, so we have lots of ideas! We also have maps for you to borrow.

Data Protection Act 1984
We are obliged under the above Act to advise you that we have your name and address is recorded on our computer. These are in the form of emails and invoices. If you wish to see your record please send a stamped addressed envelope and £4.00 to cover the costs.
