The season of events continues at Greta Hall with a range of workshops being held in Robert Southey's Study. With stunning views, open fire, homebaked refreshments and good company, a workshop at Greta Hall is a wonderful way to spend an hour or a day in an inspirational environment.

Tea with Mrs. Bronte - 1.30pm-3.30pm with actress Angela Crow
Angela Crow is a renowned authority on the life of Mrs. Bronte, mother to Anne, Emily, Charlotte and Branwell. Discover what effect the Mrs. Brontes maternal influence had on the Bronte sisters. An hour and a half of illuminating talk and discussion followed by a delicious afternoon tea.

Words on the Water Literary Festival 10.30pm-1pm
We are deligthed to again be a venue for Words on the Water Literary Festival. This year Adam Sisman author of The Friendshp: Wordsworth and Coleridge will give a talk in Southey's Study.

English Heritage Open Day
Friday 7th September 11am 1pm and 3.30pm (Children's Tour)
As part of English Heritage Open Days, Greta Hall will again be offering short tours to introduce visitors to the architectural & literary history of the building.
A very special tour is arranged for 3.30pm where children will be invited to help Mrs. Coleridge make porridge on the range and meet Mr. Southey as he finishes his new story for children, 'The Three Bears'. Find out how different the original story is and discover where the bears built their house in the woodland behing Greta Hall.
